Cat sitting
Compassionate cat care available throughout the Staffordshire and South Derbyshire region.
We understand that cats thrive best when in their own environment. We know they love their home comforts and that knowing your cat is safe and well-cared for is important to you. Finding the perfect cattery can be stressful and confusing; so why do so? Instead, choose cat care that feels like home: because it is.

Cat care done right
At Sue’s Pet Care we offer a bespoke care package designed just for you and your cat. Before taking on any job, we always meet with you and your cat in their familiar environment and discuss exactly what you need from us. Your cat will then be assigned a key worker from our team of dedicated and experienced feline team, allowing your cat to stay where they feel safest and happiest: their own home. In case of emergencies, we will also assign a deputy key worker. They will work in close partnership so that you can be certain your cat’s care will never be affected. In our 11 years of business, we have only ever had to cancel once. It is this level of commitment that makes us stand out from our competitors.
More than daily duties
Our service is tailored to your individual cat’s needs. Does your cat live for their ‘zoomies’ hour? Great, we love to play too. Maybe your cat loves nothing more than to curl up in comfort? Then we are more than happy to provide the snuggles.

Familiar routines,
happy cats
Our visits will include all that you would expect of quality, dedicated cat care, providing fresh food and water, cleaning litter trays and keeping their space clean and tidy. If your cat has special requirements like grooming or medication, our experienced carers will handle this gently and with care. Importantly, we will spend time with your cat, making sure they are happy and settled before leaving.
We would recommend at least one to two daily visits, depending on the length of time you are away, and we are always very happy to guide you on what will be best.
We don’t just “pop in”
Additionally, we can do those other little jobs, such as bringing in post, putting out bins and watering plants – all those little jobs that we know can make a big difference to your peace of mind.

In safe hands
All our members of staff are fully qualified in First Aid and are fully insured. They each have their special area of experience and expertise. Your key worker will keep in regular contact with you so that you know how your cat is and will take your vet’s number in case of any emergencies.
For your added security, all our vehicles are unbranded, so nobody will ever be able to track when you aren’t at home.
All our visits are calm and unhurried, providing reassurance in a familiar setting. This is cat care the Sue way – approachable, reliable and kind.

How often should my cat be visited?
We recommend at least one to two visits per day depending on how long you're away. Every cat is different, some are fiercely independent, others need more company - and we'll guide you on what's right for yours during the meet and greet.
How long is each visit?
Visits start from 20 minutes, though we'll tailor the length to your cat's needs and personality. Some cats want a quick check, fresh food and a fuss, others want a proper sit-down and a play session. We'll work out what suits yours.
Do you visit cats in their own home?
Yes, always. We don't take cats to another location or offer cattery-style care. Cats thrive on familiarity and routine, so keeping them in their own home - with their own smells, spaces and hiding spots - is always the kindest option.
What areas do you cover for cat sitting?
We cover Tamworth, Swadlincote, Burton, Lichfield, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Sutton Coldfield, Atherstone and the surrounding villages.
Who will be looking after my cat?
Your cat will be assigned a dedicated key worker from our team - someone who gets to know their personality, routine and quirks from the very first visit. We also assign a deputy key worker so there's always a familiar face available, never a stranger turning up unannounced.
What does each visit include?
Fresh food and water, litter tray cleaning and a proper welfare check as standard. If your cat needs a little extra attention, gentle brushing, help with matts, medication, or just needs a good twenty minutes of company - we'll factor all of that into their care plan. We also take care of small home tasks while we're there: bringing in post, watering plants, putting bins out and keeping the little things ticking over so you come home to no surprises.
What if my cat needs special care, like medication?
Our team is experienced in handling cats with additional needs, whether that's daily medication, dietary requirements or specialist grooming. We'll discuss everything at the meet and greet and make sure the right key worker is matched to your cat.
My cat is shy or nervous, will that be a problem?
Not at all. We're experienced with cats of all temperaments, including those who'd rather observe from behind the sofa for the first few visits. We never rush or force interaction - we let your cat set the pace, every time.
What if there's a medical emergency while I'm away?
We take your vet's details as standard before we start. If we have any concerns about your cat's health, we'll contact you immediately - and if needed, we'll take your cat to the vet and stay with them until you're able to get there or the situation is resolved.
Will anyone know I'm away from home?
No. all our vehicles are unbranded, so there's nothing to indicate your home is empty or that a pet sitter is visiting. We'll also manage the little things that signal an empty house: post, curtains, lights and bins.
Do you charge for key collection?
Your first key collection is free. We can hold onto your key, return it to a safe place you specify, or add it to your keysafe (if you have one) for easy access. If we need to collect a key again in the future, there's a small £6 charge.
