Dog walking

Dedicated dog walking available throughout the Staffordshire and South Derbyshire region.

Bespoke dog walking packages delivered the Sue way: approachable, reliable and kind.

We know that your dog is an individual, with a personality all its own and we're here to make sure every dog gets the walkies they deserve.

Tailored to your dog's needs

At Sue’s Pet Care we offer a bespoke care package designed just for you and your dog. Before taking on any job, we always meet with you and your dog in their familiar environment and discuss exactly what you need from us. Your dog will then be assigned a key worker from our team of dedicated and experienced canine team, offering you and your dog the reassurance of familiarity and continuity of care. In case of emergencies, we will also assign a deputy key worker.

Familiarity is key

We will work in close partnership so that you can be certain your dog’s care will never be affected. In our 11 years of business, we have only ever had to cancel once. It is this level of commitment that makes us stand out from our competitors.

We provide walks suited to all paws. Offering both social and one-to-one walking services, whether they enjoy short, calming stroll, energy-filled runs or long rambles, you can be sure that your dog will be safe and happy with their own member of our fully-trained team.

Dog walks from £20 per walk

Includes up to two dogs from the same household, a 30–60 minute walk, paw clean, treats, water and daily photo updates.

Little extras

We also take care of the smaller details too, such as providing fresh water, towel drying or cleaning muddy paws. If you aren’t in when we drop off your dog, we will always stay with them until they are happy and settled, making sure they have all they need before we leave. We can even take care of those small household tasks, like bringing in post or watering plants.

Peace of Mind

For your added security, all our vehicles are unbranded, so nobody will ever be able to track when you aren’t at home.

We know that trusting your dog’s care to someone else can feel daunting at first. This is why we assign a key worker who will fully get to know your pet. All our members of staff are fully qualified in Pet First Aid, are DBS checked and are fully insured. They each have their special area of experience and expertise. Your key worker will keep in regular contact with you so that you know how your dog is and will take your vet’s number in case of any emergencies.

Book your free call

Give us a call and we'll chat through what you need and answer any questions. From there we'll arrange a free meet and greet - a chance to meet you and your pet and make note of everything that matters to them

Book when you're ready

Once we've met you and your pet, book and manage everything through our PetSitter Plus app. We'll send photo updates after every visit so you always know your pet is happy and in safe hands.

How long are your dog walks?

Our walks are tailored to your dog, from 30 to 60 minutes. We'll discuss what suits their age, breed and energy levels at the initial meet and greet - a nervous rescue needs a very different walk to a bouncy Labrador, and we'll make sure it's right for them.

Do you walk dogs one-to-one or in groups?

One-to-one only, or with other dogs from the same household. We don't mix dogs from different families - so your dog gets our walker's full attention, every time. We can accommodate up to two dogs from the same household on one walk.

Can my dog go off the lead?

Yes, if you'd like them to - we just ask for signed permission and will only let them off in safe, suitable areas. If you'd prefer your dog stays on lead, that's absolutely fine too.

Do you offer dog visits as well as walks?

Yes - if your dog can't be left for long periods (puppies, elderly dogs or dogs with health needs), we offer home visits including garden toilet breaks, feeding, fresh water and a general welfare check. It's also a great option for puppies working on their routine and socialisation.

What do you bring on walks?

We provide water, quality treats and biodegradable poo bags as standard. After muddy walks, we'll clean and dry your dog's paws before returning them - and if they need a towel dry, we take care of that too.

Will I know how the walk went?

Yes - your key worker will send daily photo and video updates so you can see exactly what your dog got up to. You'll also receive a log of where they've been walked.

What if my usual walker is unavailable?

Every dog is assigned both a key worker and a deputy key worker who work closely together. If your regular walker can't make it, your dog will already know their cover - no strangers, no disruption to their routine.

My dog can be reactive - can you still help?

Quite possibly, yes. We have a qualified dog trainer within our team and plenty of experience with dogs of all temperaments. We'll always be honest about whether we're the right fit at the meet and greet - and we'll never take on a dog we can't keep safe.

How do I get started?

Get in touch and we'll arrange a free, no-obligation meet and greet - a chance for you and your dog to meet your key worker before anything's committed. Once everyone's happy, booking is simple through our online system, anytime.

Where do you offer dog walking?

We cover Tamworth, Swadlincote, Burton-on-Trent, Lichfield, Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Sutton Coldfield, plus all the villages in between. Not sure if we reach you? Just ask - if you're on the edge of our patch we'll always do our best to find a way.

Do you charge for key collection?

Your first key collection is free. We can hold onto your key, return it to a safe place you specify, or add it to your keysafe (if you have one) for easy access. If we need to collect a key again in the future, there's a small £6 charge.
