Your ‘big day’ would not be complete without your best friend. Your dog is part of your family – so why shouldn’t they also be part of your wedding day?
Sue’s Pet Care offers wedding service packages tailored to meet the needs of you and your dog, whether it’s just accompanying them down the aisle, or supporting them to take part in the full day. Every package provides reliable, high-quality, professional care.
Planning the Day
Before the wedding, we will meet with you to discuss your wishes and recommend the best package to meet your needs. We will meet with your dog and get to know their routines, requirements and personality, before matching them to a fully trained and qualified key worker who will stay with your dog throughout the day.
The Wedding Day
On the day itself, we take care of everything, including transport to and from the venue in our unbranded vehicles, providing fresh water, rest breaks and walks throughout the day and keeping your dog calm and reassured during the busier, more stressful times of the day.
Is your dog accompanying down the aisle or being your ring-bearer? We can help with that too. From helping to put on accessories to helping them to stay content and reassured during the service, we are happy to lend you the wisdom of our expertise and our experience to make sure that everything goes without a hitch.
The important bits
All our members of staff are fully qualified in Pet First Aid, are DBS checked and are fully insured. They each have their specific area of experience and expertise. Our vehicles are all unbranded for your added security.
Our services are available across the Staffordshire and South Derbyshire region, but please contact us if you are outside this area and we will consider your request and be in touch.
Basic Paw Package
Perfect for the key moments. Includes a meet and greet, secure transport, considerate handling during the ceremony, support with ring-bearing, and help getting your dog into the photos - plus walks, toileting, rest breaks and fresh water throughout. Around 3–4 hours of calm, professional care.

Classic Tails Package
Everything in Basic Paw, plus 5–6 hours of professional supervision through the ceremony, photographs and wedding breakfast, with feeding if your dog's routine needs it. Companionship and a quiet space to retreat to whenever the celebrations get a little much.

Book your free call
Give us a call and we'll chat through what you need and answer any questions. From there we'll arrange a free meet and greet - a chance to meet you and your pet and make note of everything that matters to them
Book when you're ready
Once we've met you and your pet, book and manage everything through our PetSitter Plus app. We'll send photo updates after every visit so you always know your pet is happy and in safe hands.
What's the difference between the three packages?
Basic Paw covers 2–3 hours - ideal if your dog's just joining for the ceremony and photos. Classic Tails covers 5–6 hours, through to the wedding breakfast. Ultimate Pawfect Day covers up to 10 hours, with your dog's key worker by their side from morning prep through to evening celebrations.
Can my dog walk down the aisle or be the ring bearer?
Absolutely — it's one of the most popular requests. Your key worker will help with accessories, get your dog settled beforehand, and stay close by to make sure everything goes smoothly when it matters most.
Will my dog be looked after by the same person all day?
Yes - your dog is matched with a fully trained key worker who gets to know them beforehand and stays with them throughout your day, so it's always a familiar, reassuring face.
Can my dog stay for the evening reception too?
Yes, with our Ultimate Pawfect Day package. There's also the option for a key worker to settle your dog at home for the evening, or stay overnight with them — this may carry an additional cost depending on location and requirements, which we're happy to discuss at your initial meeting.
What if my dog gets overwhelmed during the day?
That's exactly what your key worker is there for. We'll keep your dog calm and reassured during busier moments, and with the longer packages, we can take them somewhere quieter for a break whenever they need one.
Do you provide transport to the venue?
Yes - secure transport to and from the venue is included in every package, in our unbranded vehicles.
Will my dog be fed and given water during the day?
Yes - fresh water and rest breaks are included throughout, and if your dog's routine includes a meal during the time they're with us, we'll take care of that too.
What if my wedding venue isn't in your usual coverage area?
Get in touch anyway - while we mainly cover Staffordshire and South Derbyshire, we're happy to consider requests further afield and will always come back to you.
Is my dog insured while in your care?
Yes, every member of our team is Pet First Aid certified, DBS checked and fully insured, with their own particular experience and expertise.
How far in advance should I book?
We advise 1-3 months before your wedding day. We can often accomodate shorter notice as long as we have availability, so please enquire and we will let you know if we can help. Please bear in mind if you have nervous dog we need time for them to get to know us.
How much does a wedding chaperone package cost?
Basic Paw from £200, Classic Tails from £400, and Ultimate Pawfect Day from £600 (all inc VAT). Get in touch with your wedding date and plans for an accurate quote.
Do you meet our dog before the day?
Yes, every package includes an initial meet and greet, where we'll talk through your plans, get to know your dog's routine and personality, and match them with the right key worker.
