Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer? (e.g. dog walking, pet sitting, overnight care, pet taxi, small animal or cat care)
I provide professional solo dog walking, cat sitting, small pet care, and home visits. Whether it’s daily walks, weekend cover, or holiday care while you’re away, I’m here to help your pets stay happy, healthy, and loved in their own environment.
How long are your visits and walks? (e.g. 30 min, 60 min; cat drop ins vs. dog walk durations)
Dog walks typically last30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on your pet’s needs. Home visits for cats and small animals are usually 20–30 minutes, enough for feeding, fuss, and a tidy-up.
When can I book services? How far in advance?
Advance booking is always recommended, however we understand that needs change so we do accept bookings the night before you require the service.
Can I request specific visit or walk times?
Yes, we do our best to accommodate your time requests. We just say you need to allow 30 minutes either side of your scheduled time in case of any issues throughout the day.
Is an initial meet and greet required before bookings?
Yes! I offer a free initial meet-and-greet. It’s a chance for me to get to know your pet, learn about their routine, and make sure everyone is happy before the first booking.
Are you licensed, insured, and DBS checked?
Absolutely. The entire team are fully insured and DBS-checked for your peace of mind. Your pet and home are in safe, professional hands.
Do your team members have pet first aid training or special qualifications?
Yes, all of our team are pet first-aid trained with regular CPD to keep them up to date. One of our walkers is also a qualified veterinary nurse.
How many visits per day for cats or dogs on holiday?
It’s totally up to you and what your pet needs. Most people opt for 1-2 vistis per day, but if you need anything specific like extra feeding, or medication we can be flexible to suit you.
Can you administer medication or handle special needs? (e.g. elderly pets or diabetics)
Yes we can. We are very experienced in handling and giving medication – from tablets, creams and injections. One of our walkers is a veterinary nurse, meaning she can help with various special needs cases.
Do you walk dogs individually or in group walks?
We specialise in solo or paired walksfrom the same household to ensure each dog gets the attention they deserve. This also allows me to tailor walks to your dog’s pace, energy level, and temperament.
How do you access my home?
Most clients provide a spare key or leave it in a lockbox. I keep keys securely labelled (with no identifying information) and store them safely between visits.
Do you send updates or photos?
Definitely! I’ll send regular photos and updates straight to your email inbox from our online system, so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and well cared for
What if an emergency arises with my pet or at my property? (medical issue, property damage, severe weather)

For property emergencies (like a broken window or alarm going off), I’ll secure the home as best I can and contact you right away. You can trust us to act quickly, calmly, and responsibly in any situation.
How much do your services cost? Are there holiday or peak time surcharges?
Prices depend on the service and duration. For example, dog walks start from £15 for 30 minutes. Please get in touch for a personalised quote or see the Services & Pricing page.
